InfraRose is currently strengthening its project finance and operational control environment as it scales major infrastructure developments in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This role will play a critical part in helping the business establish world-class financial visibility, project controls, and ERP-led reporting capability across large-scale project operations.

About the Role

As Project Financial Controller, you will help establish and strengthen InfraRose’s live project financial control environment across a major infrastructure development in Kinshasa, DRC.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead project-based financial control activities across procurement, project accounting, supplier advances, subcontractor reporting, inventory, work-in-progress, fixed assets, cash forecasting, and Oracle ERP-enabled project reporting.

This is a hands-on infrastructure project finance and controls role requiring strong experience operating within large-scale construction, EPC, infrastructure, industrial, energy, mining, aviation, or real estate development environments.

You will work closely with finance, procurement, commercial, site, project management, consultants, and operational teams to improve financial visibility, strengthen controls, support decision-making, and ensure project costs, commitments, and risks are accurately captured and monitored.

The role is ideal for someone who combines strong project financial discipline with practical execution capability, ERP systems understanding, commercial awareness, and the ability to bring structure to complex, evolving project environments.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means building a reliable, live project financial control environment that gives leadership clear visibility into project costs, commitments, risks, funding utilisation, and overall financial performance.

You will help establish a stronger WBS-based reporting discipline, improve procurement and payment controls, strengthen reconciliation accuracy, enhance project cash forecasting, and ensure Oracle becomes a trusted source of operational and financial reporting.

You will also help improve alignment between finance, procurement, commercial, site, and project teams so that operational decisions are supported by accurate, timely, and actionable financial information.

Over time, your work will contribute to building a more disciplined, scalable, and decision-ready infrastructure finance environment capable of supporting complex, large-scale project delivery.

Strengthening project financial visibility

• You will help build stronger financial reporting and controls across project operations, ensuring leadership has accurate visibility into project costs, commitments, procurement activity, cash flow, and operational performance.
• You will support WBS-based reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, and financial analysis that improves decision-making across the business.

Supporting operational and procurement controls

• You will work closely with procurement, commercial, and project teams to strengthen controls across supplier payments, subcontractors, inventory, goods in transit, and operational spending.
• You will help improve reporting accuracy, reduce financial leakage, and ensure stronger discipline across procurement and payment processes.

Driving reporting discipline and ERP-enabled controls

You will support the continued strengthening of Oracle ERP-led reporting and finance processes across the business. This includes improving coding discipline, reporting consistency, reconciliations, and operational finance workflows while helping create more reliable and decision-ready reporting structures.

Improving cash flow and financial governance

• You will support cash-flow forecasting, funding visibility, balance-sheet reconciliations, and reporting governance across project operations.
• You will help identify risks early, escalate unresolved issues, and strengthen financial accountability across teams and processes.

Partnering across project and operational teams

• You will work closely with finance, procurement, site, commercial, and project management teams to improve coordination, strengthen accountability, and ensure financial reporting reflects operational realities.
• You will help create a culture where teams understand the financial impact of decisions, risks, and project execution priorities.

Your Strong Foundation

Experience

You may be a strong fit if you have:

• 10+ years of finance experience, including significant exposure to project financial control, infrastructure finance, construction finance, EPC environments, or large capital projects.
• Strong experience operating within project-based financial reporting and cost-control environments.
• Hands-on exposure to Oracle ERP or equivalent enterprise ERP systems used within project operations.
• Experience working in complex, fast-paced environments where strong reporting discipline and operational coordination are critical.
• Exposure to infrastructure, construction, industrial, aviation, mining, energy, or major real estate development projects would be highly valuable.
• Experience within Africa would be an added advantage.

Education and Qualifications

You should bring:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Exposure to ERP reporting tools, dashboards, and project finance reporting environments would be beneficial.

This Role Is Not for You If…

• You are only comfortable in traditional statutory accounting environments with limited operational exposure.
• You prefer purely back-office finance roles and do not want involvement in project operations, procurement, or delivery environments.
• You struggle working in fast-paced environments where systems, reporting structures, and processes are still evolving.
• You are uncomfortable challenging weak controls, unsupported payments, or poor reporting discipline.
