We're retained to find an exceptional Security Operation Auditor for Securex, based in Kenya.

Securex is a leading security solutions provider offering physical guarding, technology-led security solutions, risk assessments and threat assessments.

Securex is currently looking for a Security Operations Auditor to help strengthen compliance and service quality across its client sites. You’ll assess security operations against agreed KPIs, SOPs and client requirements, identify gaps and vulnerabilities, and ensure corrective actions are followed through to closure.

This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who can combine security understanding, audit discipline, strong reporting and consistent follow-through.

About the Role

You’ll work across Securex client sites, combining site audits, security and risk assessments, compliance inspections, reporting and corrective-action follow-up.

Some days will be spent visiting sites and engaging directly with guards, supervisors, technicians and operational teams. Other days will involve reviewing reports, monitoring dashboards, analysing recurring issues and following up on outstanding actions.

The role suits someone who is comfortable working independently, managing several priorities at once and maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness, particularly during busy audit periods.

What you will be responsible for

1. Audit security operations on the ground

• Conduct scheduled and surprise audits across client sites.
• Assess site performance against agreed KPIs, SOPs, client requirements and security standards.
• Carry out threat and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and operational gaps.
• Inspect physical security operations, guarding arrangements and relevant security controls.
• Clearly document findings, risks and areas requiring improvement.

2. Drive corrective actions to closure

• Turn audit findings into practical corrective actions with clear ownership and timelines.
• Maintain visibility over outstanding findings through trackers and dashboards.
• Follow up with Operations, Technical and other teams to understand delays and drive closure.
• Escalate overdue or high-risk findings where required.
• Verify that corrective actions have actually been implemented on the ground before closing them.

3. Improve client and operational performance

• Investigate client concerns and identify the root causes behind service-delivery gaps.
• Look beyond individual incidents to identify recurring operational problems.
• Work with relevant teams to recommend practical improvements.
• Help strengthen consistency, accountability and service quality across client sites.

4. Turn audit data into useful insight

• Maintain accurate records of audits, findings, risks and corrective actions.
• Use dashboards and reporting tools to monitor progress and outstanding issues.
• Analyse recurring findings and emerging trends across sites.
• Prepare clear periodic reports for management on risks, actions and audit performance.

5. Support quality and compliance

• Carry out operational and quality inspections where required.
• Check whether agreed procedures, standards and controls are being followed.
• Identify non-compliance and poor workmanship and ensure issues are addressed.
• Support Securex in maintaining strong security, quality, health and safety

Requirements

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in security operations, security auditing, risk, compliance, quality assurance or a closely related operational environment.
• Hands-on experience conducting site inspections, operational audits, risk assessments or compliance assessments against defined SOPs, KPIs, SLAs or standards.
• A good understanding of physical security operations, with the confidence to engage guards, supervisors, technicians, clients and internal teams while assessing compliance on the ground.
• Strong experience in reporting, corrective-action follow-up and data management, including the use of Excel, dashboards or trackers to monitor findings, deadlines and closure.
• Strong organisation, communication and execution skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and remain responsive during busy audit periods.

• You are looking for a predominantly desk-based audit role.
• You enjoy identifying problems but prefer someone else to follow up on them.
• You have worked mainly in control-room monitoring without progressing into assessment, audit or compliance responsibilities.
• You struggle to manage several deadlines or outstanding actions at the same time.
• You are uncomfortable challenging teams when agreed actions are overdue.
